March 2008 - Down at SXSW, the
Chevelles rocked the house (and
the tent and the club). As part of the last leg on their world
tour, Australia’s ambassadors of pop rock fury performed
a bunch of their hits, including “C’Mon Everybody”, “Show
Me Your Love” and “Medaline”. On drums was
Mark DiRenzo, a member of Zip’s very own band Gigantic.
Add on the rousing introduction by Kim Fowley (also on Zip Records!),
it was label heaven.
The Chevelles new one, “Accellerator”,
is out soon on Wicked Cool Records.
Check out the new bio and new
reviews of the band!

| The Chevelles are still
a great big POWER POP band with loads of guitar action and heaps
of soaring harmonies. From day one the critics have raved and the
kids of the confection generation have danced and screamed... from
their hometown of Perth right across to Europe, USA and South America.
