Danny
McDonald will appear on a Brazilian soundtrack for new DVD
title “Super Surf Sam Fronteiras” (Super Surf
Without Borders). 25,000 DVDs will be for sale at newsstands
throughout Brazil.
Danny's version of the Stems' classic "At
First Sight" has found it's way onto a great new compilation
released by Japan's coolest power pop label 'Wizzard In Vinyl'.
The CD is called "Wizzard In Vinyl 5th Anniversary",
and also features artists such as Red Kross, The Finkers, The
Shazam, American Suitcase, The Lolas, The Finders Suzy & Los
Quattro and many others.
Danny contributed some backing vocals to the wonderful new
single from Melbourne band Prettymes. |

The
Australian artist formerly known as P76 and the singer/songwriter
behind Jericho,
The Stoneage Hearts and Oscarlima, Danny McDonald stepped out
with his solo debut “Summer City”, licensed to Zip
Records for the July 2003 U.S. release.
Proverbial power pop in the vein of Matthew
Sweet, Fountains of Wane (and perhaps The Clash?), Danny
McDonald waxes melodies
paying homage to the sun, surf, cars, girls and…the working
class. Deemed “Record of The Year” in several Australian
and Italian Magazines, “Summer City” is accorded
the sound of summer for the whole year round. Music doesn’t
get much better than this.
