AAA radio has shown wonderful support for both “She” and “Didn’t Anyone Tell You?”, including Top 10 chart action on numerous US stations. Heck, we’re even hearing it here in San Francisco! For a full listing of radio stations playing “Didn’t Anyone Tell You” check out the news on Smash Palace official site.

January 2008 - Smash Palace appeared at The Ritz in Oaklyn, New Jersey (USA).

Bio

For those of us who still get taken in by memorable choruses and great songwriting craft, this band has a genuine singular sound with nearly effortless tuneful songs. This is original music inspired by echoes of the past.
Their musical odyssey began when the Butler brothers dropped out of college when their first band "Quincy" was discovered by Hilly Kristal, owner of CBGBs. Paul Atkinson of the Zombies then signed the band to a major label deal only to be sued by Quincy Jones for stealing "his" name. It just so happened that Quincy Jones saw the bands name on the marquee at "The Whiskey" in Los Angeles! read more >

Stephen Butler: lead vocals, lead guitar -- DyAnne DiSalvo: rhythm guitar and vocals -- Philip Rizzo: bass -- Brian Butler: vocals, percussion/drums

"It's an effortless blend moving with a catchy rock swagger that¹s infectiousness enough to require Cipro." Chris Parker, Philadelphia Weekly

"I TOTALLY love the new CD! And coming from someone who hears as much music a week as I do, that's no veiled compliment! At least 3-4 tracks are definites for airplay on my shows." Dennis 'The Menace' Scheyer, Just Another Menace Sunday on KUSF

Album Review: It was at the Cavern Club in Liverpool that Smash Palace was nabbed for this album. Their 2005 set at the Cavern Club was quintessential genius and not one, but three music critics alerted Zip Records to what went down and the plans for this album were born before the band landed back in Philadelphia.

"Best of "99-06" by Smash Palace is an exuberant and infectious picture of a band still at the peak of its prowess. Melodies, chords and hooks abound; think Byrds, Badfinger, Kinks, Fastball, Cheap Trick, Fountains of Wayne.
