| Stratocruiser
combine a blend of rock, power pop, garage, addicting melodies
and a
dollop of psychedelia into an album entitled “Suburban
Contemporary”. Conceived by notorious North Carolina
songwriters Mike Nicholson and Clay Howard, Stratocruiser is
a band which
also features numerous quests who play their respects on track
after track of jangly, crunchy kick ass songs.
Nicholson and Howard are veterans of revered
bands such as Bullwinkel Gandhi (whose 1996 release “Kung Pow!” was
voted #71 on a list of the top 100 power pop albums of all
time in an influential Swedish magazine!), The Doleful Lions,
barely White and assorted other bands influenced by 60’s/70’s
stuff.

with weighty garage pop that's equal parts Smithereens and
Shazam.
