"You, Me & the Sea " - Picking up where "Fickle Island" left off

First album "Fickle Island" was written and recorded in the Netherlands over four years ago. Since then Angela has been absorbing the Northern and Southern California culture.  She has brought a new take to a "proven formula"- beautiful, breezy, romantic songs that make the coffee taste finer and the sun seem brighter.

You, Me & the Sea continues to attract the same appreciative Spotify attention that surrounded Angela's first album and has already hit 60k streams. Angela was also featured on Vogue NL - where they premiered her music video and interviewed Angela about her life in Hollywood, "big in Japan" and motherhood.

Angela will be heading to the Netherlands late summer to promote her new music. On August 26th her "homecoming" show will be at the beach in Scheveningen at Colorado Charlie - rsvp here. Stay tuned for more shows!

Angela Moyra's newest single "You, Me & the Sea" - out June 29th

Dutch transplant Angela Moyra's new single "You, Me, & the Sea" was recorded in Los Angeles and will be released worldwide on June 29.

Now living in Hollywood, Angela has teamed up with David Ott (Earth, Wind & Fire, Empire, Zee Avi) to give her signature sound added instrumental layers and a subtle R&B flavor. Moyra's style can still be characterised as singer/songwriter; however, her lyrics also now encompass impressions of her life in California. There is a distinct tropical feel to "You Me & the Sea" - similar to the stylings found in the numerous Dutch magazine features that Angela has recently found herself in (Vogue, L’Official, Happinez) .

Of further note, the legendary Motown drummer James Gadson (Bill Withers, Quincy Jones, D’Angelo) appears on You, Me & the Sea. The song's video was shot in Bali and was directed by the notable Dutch designer Monocrafft.

Growing up in the Netherlands, Angela was influenced by a unique mixture of classic artists like Louis Armstrong and Minnie Riperton. Add to this such contemporary voices like Corinne Bailey Rae and Norah Jones and one discovers Moyra's worldly blended sound that coffee chain Starbucks featured on their playlist throughout 2016.

You, Me & the Sea is the first single of Angela Moyra's new full length album which will appear early 2019.

A new life for Angela Moyra's "Nothing Lasts" in Japan.

She already has a full-length album available through a Japanese label (Fickle Island, 2015) which was also successfully released in the US and Benelux. Angela must have met the right people during her Japanese tour in 2015 as Tokyo based label Insense Music Works will now be introducing an exclusive acoustic version of popular single "Nothing Lasts" produced by David Michael Ott (Los Angeles). On June 7th "Nothing Lasts" will appear on the compilation album "HONEY meets ISLAND CAFE - CALIFORNIA DREAMING". This album features artists associated with California and the West Coast. Angela Moyra, originally from the Netherlands, now resides in California and this breezy acoustic song fits her locale perfectly. This new version of "Nothing Lasts" and her upcoming album will inevitably lead to more live appearances next year in Japan.
